O tem smo  z devetošolci 1. skupine spregovorili tudi pri angleščini … Naši učenci zrelo razmišljajo o prednostih in pasteh sodobnega življenja, o zdravi prehrani, razvadah …

A healthy way of life

A balanced diet should contain all types of nutrients: fat, salt, protein, carbohydrates, sugar and various vitamins and minerals. You should eat a balanced amount of these and not too much of one or another. However, they are not all equally important meaning that your body needs more protein and carbohydrates than sugar and salt. Skipping meals is also bad. I would lie if I said that my diet is balanced because I eat a lot of dairy products (especially milk and cheese) and meat, but not enough fruit. Besides eating right food, there are many more factors regarding our health. Exercise and enough sleep (approximately 8 hours every night) are very important for our general and mental health. Drugs and smoking are bad in general (smoking because of lung cancer and drugs because of addiction and a chance of overdose resulting in our death). In my opinion, alcohol isn’t as bad as long as it isn’t drunk too often (1 glass of wine a week won’t hurt you) and wine can in fact, be healthy, plus it’s known that the difference between poison and medicine is only in the dose. This, of course, is true only for adults. Children shouldn’t drink alcohol at all! The last thing affecting our health is the amount of time spent in front of different screens like phones, TV, computers… – the less, the better. Fresh air is also important for healthy living. I think that social media has great impact on our health but this can be avoided by ignoring the kinds of things that make us feel too fat or ugly. Another thing is to accept ourselves as we are and not care too much about other people’s looks and opinions of us.

A healthy diet needs to contain lots of fruit and vegetables, a little meat, milk, fish, and dairy products. It also needs to contain a little bit of fat and sugar for energy. I think my diet is healthy because I eat lots of fruit and vegetables, but I also eat a lot of dairy products, which I do not think is the best for me. A healthy diet is not enough for a healthy life. It is also important that you exercise enough. It is really good if you exercise at least 3 times a week. If you want to live a healthy life you should not smoke, drink alcohol, or even do drugs. All of these bad habits are dangerous for you. If you do not sleep enough it will have bad effects on your health. I feel like social media are making teenagers and young adults insecure about their bodies. People should stop posting pictures of their bodies if they are photo shopped. It is not only that young girls are having problems with losing weight by throwing up or not eating. It is the same problem with the boys, who see a diet for a famous bodybuilder on the internet and try it, but fail because their bodies are not used to this and they end up gaining weight instead. That makes them feel like losers. People should stop focusing on other people’s lives and focus on their own.

To live a healthy life you need to have a balanced diet. A balanced diet contains a lot of fruit and vegetables so your body can get vitamins and minerals. We should also drink a lot of water because it is good for you. You should exercise or at least go for a walk sometimes if you can. I think my diet is quite healthy, I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and besides that I train and exercise a lot. Alcohol, smoking and drugs are bad for you. You also shouldn’t eat a lot of sugar, salt and fats because it’s not good for you. Don’t spend too much time on social media and don’t believe everything you see, it might not be true. Social media might have good or bad effects. You might get motivation to start working out or eating more healthy food but it can also make you feel bad about yourself. It’s more important for you to focus on yourself and your life.

A healthy diet should contain a balanced amount of water, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and fat. Everyone has their own healthy diet based on what their body needs the most. Finding a perfect diet for yourself might be hard, but you can always find advice from nutritionists or dieticians. I don’t think my diet is too bad, but it could definitely be more balanced and thus healthier. I should drink more water and eat more fruit, for example. My meals should be more balanced, too. But to be healthy, a balanced diet is not enough. Being physically active throughout the day is very important, too. You don’t need to train a sport; a daily walk is more than enough. But then again, the amount of how much you need to exercise depends on what and how much you eat. While exercising you should never forget to drink enough water to keep you hydrated. Teenagers use social media a lot. So, there is no wonder we come across posts of a little bit too perfect people. As real as we think it is, we should never completely believe because it can create a very unrealistic image of perfection. All that matters is that we feel comfortable in our bodies.
