Christmas and new year in Slovenia.pdf
Lansko leto so nas naši novi prijatelji obiskali v Krškem. Tu so bivali tri dni. Prijatelji so nas pričakali nasmejanih obrazov. Přeštice smo zapustili s solzami v očeh, a veseli nove izkušnje in še močnejšega prijateljstva. Z njimi smo ostali v stiku in upamo na ponovno srečanje.

Last week some of our students and teachers were in Přeštice. We prepared a programme for our hosts. I played the zither. I was very nervous before my performance. The entire programme was relaxed and fun, I was worried only about my performance – will I do that one fast part right, will I hit the right chord… When I started playing, I was still very nervous. But after a little time I started to enjoy it. When I finished, I wasn’t pleased with my performance. However, when I saw a video of my performance, recorded by one of my friends, I was pleased with it.

Our visit to the Czech Republic included lots of different workshops in which we spent some of our time together. We participated in the cooking workshop named “Masterchef”. We made a fascinating poppy seed dessert. While the dessert was baking at 100 degrees C, we also made some vanilla cookies. At the event, where all participants presented their work, we put our delicious food on display – and offered it for tasting. Everybody’s response was the same. Our food was great!

On the second day of our trip to the Czech Republic we had workshops. We acted in a well-known Czech fairy-tale. We put on very interesting costumes. We learnt the text by heart and later we prepared a presentation of our workshop. It was great.

On 27th March we went to the Czech Republic. The trip was very long and tiring, so when we got there, we were all happy that it was over (for 2 days). Then we had lunch and got sorted to our host families. The next day we had five workshops where we were doing different things like playing sports, cooking, interviewing people… And at the end we showed the presentations about our town and different festivals and celebrations. It was a lot of fun. In the evening we went back to the town to have a party. There we had delicious treats, drinks and an amazing DJ, but unfortunately the fun ended quickly and we went back to our hosts’ families. When we woke up we went to school and took a bus to Plzen where we visited the zoo. It was very beautiful and a little smelly at times. After that we went to the shopping centre where we spent all our money and returned back to the school where we had our last meal before leaving. And after saying goodbye, we slowly drove back home.

Zadnji dan smo si ogledali živalski vrt v Plznu in nakupili nekaj spominkov v bližnjem nakupovalnem središču. Vožnja proti domu je minila hitro, čeprav smo prispeli precej pozno. Imeli smo se zelo lepo.
